Community College Consortium for Open Education Resources

Dear CCCOER Community,
We hope that you and your families, colleagues, and students are safe and healthy.  Thanks to everyone for their contributions to our Remote Teaching and Learning Resources spreadsheet.  Many colleges and their faculty have now transitioned to completely online with some notable exceptions e.g. labs, workforce education, etc.  Although there is much work still to be done to fully utilize online and open teaching pedagogies and engage students in this new way of learning, there are some amazing stories of communities responding to the pandemic.
Educators and students too are responding in truly extraordinary ways, and community colleges have always been at the forefront of offering flexible learning opportunities. We are looking to our open education community to help share their stories, especially to show how open education materials and practices help enable such responses and provide resilience for institutions and their students.
You can enter these brief stories of human effort and care (with images) to inspire and create awareness in the midst of so much discouraging news.  Adding a story should take no more time and effort than sending an email! You can browse the the current collection of Extraordinary stories, and then please consider adding your own story.
